It’s our community’s favorite time of the year! Locust Grove is preparing for a season full of festive activities for you and your families this year. Come celebrate the season with local events like the Lighting Of The Tree, Visits From Santa, and Christmas In The Grove, which will feature our annual Christmas parade, a tacky sweater contest, and more.

Locust Grove’s annual Lighting Of The Tree takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 23 at 6PM on the Locust Grove Municipal Complex front lawn. It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Local musician Mal Garner will be performing, and there will be free hot chocolate, a snow flurry machine, and a visit from old St. Nick himself as they light up the City Hall with Christmas lights. For more information, you can call (770) 692-2320. Christmas In The Grove, Locust Grove’s biggest holiday event, is on December 2 from 10am-2pm on Locust Grove’s Main Street. Along with the much-loved annual parade, this event will include a craft fair, a live tree sale, a wreath sale, live music, and pictures with Santa! If you’d like to be a part of the parade, you can waiver here. The vendor application is due by November 21, and can be filled out here. There is an application for the tacky sweater contest, and you can fill it out here.
